Home is Where the ♥ Heart ♥ Is

So last year around this time I started my first internship at The Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland.  For those of you that are unaware of what the House does, it is a place for families to stay when children in their families are receiving serious medical treatments at local hospitals.  It is a "home away from home," that is close to their sick children.  The cost to stay is just $20 a day, but if any family is unable to pay, they are able to stay for free due to the generous donations of others.  It is such a great organization and I am so happy that I could be a part of it.

As a non-profit, they constantly have fundraising events going on.  The next one coming up is called, "Tackle the Tower" and I was able to help out with it last year.  (Also, if you would like to participate in the event, click on the link and join!)  This year they asked me to come back and help with the banners that I created last year, and I had no problem doing it!  I have volunteered for them throughout the year, but this is the first time I have been back to the House and acted like an intern for them again.  It was such a great time and I have missed them so much!

They are a great bunch of people that work so hard towards making the Ronald McDonald House a home for parents and families.  Raising money is their main concern in the development office, but with everything they do, they are concerned with the families and children at the house.  It's humbling to see people so driven to help others and I am glad I have been able to connect with them.

Cost: $0
Time: 8 hours for 2 banners
