Brrr...It's Cold Out There!!

So living in Ohio, you are bound to run into some snow and cold weather.  Thankfully, we have been able to hold off the cold weather and snow until today.  It's December 1st and we got our first snow of the season.  As much as I love watching the white snowflakes coming from the sky, I really hate walking through it because it is so cold!!!

I am fortunate enough to have sweatshirts, hoodies, jackets, coats and many other things to keep me warm, however I am STILL cold.  I could only imagine what it would be like if I were unable to afford a coat or winter gear.

Which brings me to the point of this blog!  An organization called One Warm Coat is determined to provide a coat to any person who is in need of a coat for free.  I actually saw coats today at a store for only $8!  So, if you are looking for some way to help, purchase a coat and donate it to One Warm Coat.  They have several local drop off locations, listed here, so it makes they easy on you!  Or you could start your own drive and donate the coats you collect.  My sister is doing this and I am so proud of her!! :)
Just think, if you spare 2 trips to Starbucks, you could purchase a coat and keep someone warm!  Keep that in mind this wintery season...

Time: 0 minutes
Cost: $8 or more

  1. Right! It's freezing out there. It's really heart-warming knowing about this program. I couldn't imagine having to walk around this weather without something to protect me from the brutal wind!

  2. This is a really good idea. I remember as a kid donating used coats for others was always important. For only $8 it's well worth it. :)

  4. The coats were at WalMart. If anybody wants, they can donate a coat and give it to me. I'll drop off the coats!
